Privacy Policy

Bindalo helps real estate professionals manage transactions, which means you trust us with contracts and client details. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It works alongside our Terms of Service.
1. Information we collect
Account information. Your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider), brokerage or team name, and the answers you give during setup, such as your role and how you heard about Bindalo.
Deal information. The contracts and files you upload, and the details Bindalo reads from them or that you enter: property addresses, prices, dates, deadlines, terms, checklist status and notes.
Information about other people. Contracts name buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, escrow officers and others, often with their contact details. You add this information when you upload or enter it.
Billing information. If you subscribe, payment is handled by Stripe. We receive your plan, billing status and a Stripe customer reference. We never see or store your full card number.
Technical information. Basic logs our hosting providers keep to run the service, such as IP address, browser type and request times, and the cookies described below.
2. How we use it
- To run Bindalo: build deal timelines, checklists, contacts, your calendar and your home screen.
- To read your contracts. When you upload a document for reading, it is sent to our AI provider to pull out dates, parties, money and terms for you to review.
- To manage your account, process payments and send emails you need, such as sign-in and billing messages, and a daily or weekly overview of your deadlines, whichever you choose, unless you turn it off in Settings.
- To respond when you contact us, and to keep Bindalo secure and working.
3. Service providers we rely on
We share information only with companies that help us run Bindalo, and only what they need to do that:
- Supabase stores your account, deal data and files.
- Vercel hosts the Bindalo website and app.
- Anthropic reads the contracts you upload. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, it does not train its models on your documents.
- Stripe processes subscription payments.
- Resend delivers our emails, such as the overview. It receives your email address and the content of the message.
- Cloudflare provides our domain and DNS.
5. When we may disclose information
We may disclose information if the law requires it, such as a valid subpoena or court order, or to protect the safety, rights or property of our users or others. If Bindalo is ever sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner, who must keep honoring this policy, and we will tell you before that happens.
6. Your clients' and other parties' information
You decide what you upload. By adding contracts and contacts to Bindalo, you confirm you are allowed to share that information for managing the transaction. We handle it under this policy and only to provide Bindalo to you. If someone named in your deals asks us about their information, we will refer them to you, since it is your account.
7. Security
Connections to Bindalo use HTTPS. Data is stored with Supabase, which encrypts it at rest with AES-256. Your deals and files are private to your account, and files open through links that expire after an hour. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private. If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we will tell you promptly.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. You can download any file from its deal at any time. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your account and deal data within 30 days, except where we must keep something to meet legal, tax or billing obligations. Copies in our providers' backups are removed on their normal schedule.
9. Your choices and rights
You can view, edit and download your information in Bindalo. To get a copy of everything we hold about you, correct it, or delete your account, email phil@bindalo.com.
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request deletion or correction, and to not be discriminated against for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
11. Children
Bindalo is a business tool for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in Bindalo before it takes effect.
